Latest news: Dec 30, 2019 regarding Summons from Department of Natural Resources:
You have probably received a letter from the DNR talking about Water Rights. I know that it has caused a lot of concern among our members, so I thought I had better send out an explanation. According to our Well Engineer, this "Summons" is required by State Law whenever the DNR goes into an area to verify water rights. They do this throughout the entire State, but the Midway area is on the calendar for the first of the year. This mainly affects individuals with private wells or water rights for irrigation. Our system just completed the final step for our well approval a few days ago and included a "proof letter" that verifies our ownership of the water we take from our well. This action will not affect any of us individually, but you are free to attend the meeting on the 14th or contact the Division at the number listed on the flyer with questions. I plan on attending the meeting representing Oak Haven Water Company just in case something comes up. -Ro
